The University of Toledo's campus is expanding daily and so are the opportunities! Stop and check out this beautiful campus while they blend the old with the new, we loved the clock tower, the solar panels and the new Savage Arena and Sullivan Athletic Complex!

39. Local Wine Tasting: Vino 100

Vino 100 is a great place for a wine tasting! Did you know over 100 wines here are less than $25!  George, the owner and our wine guru for the night, was an excellent host!  We cant wait for the expansion of the wine bar! This unique bar/restaurant will feature all local items- from the glasses to the locally made cheese!

44. 577 Foundation

This is an amazing gift from Virginia Secor Stranahan!  She left her home and land to be enjoyed by all at 577 Front Street in Perrysburg! You must check out the Geodesic Biodome, the River Walk and the Book Center- we loved it and have already planned our trips back! Another great place for photos- take your camera and enjoy this free park/garden/artcenter!

What a beautiful skyline during the day or at night!  We took some video to share our experience downtown and then some photos that Jorge spliced together to create a panoramic view!  What is your favorite spot to view the city?  We love the docks!

46. Seriously!?  Just one wild card!

HHMMM?  When asked what should be added to the race or what was forgotten?  We thought, what about all of the wonderful Main Streets in Northwest Ohio!  Great local retail, food, art, history, architecture all in one.  These streets provide the perfect place to pick up a unique gift, have lunch with friends or take a stroll!  There is no wondering why developers try to recreate this feel everyday- the Main Street concept is an attraction for all ages!  We love our Northwest Ohio Main Streets!

We definitely didnt want to forget local festivals either!  Great way to gather with friends and family supporting the town, the school, the church, or organizations!  Once again the chance to hear live local bands, shop from local creative businesses, purchase fresh local food, create or buy art.  Kids and adults always enjoy the nice summer weather in Northwest Ohio!  We made time to go to the Old West End Festival and Maumee's Rock the Block!

What have we missed?

The 577 Foundation is one of our favorite best kept secrets and has been ever since Corie was little - she enjoyed many classes there, Tom and I still go there about 3 times a month for the book exchange and other things that we are interested in at the time.

comment: I love going to the Butterfly House!  It's such a beautiful and peaceful place to go.  To be in the greenhouse with butterflies flying all around you is awesome, and even better if they land on you!  I love taking my nieces and nephews out there and watching their amazement!

Oh, and the corn maze they have in the fall is great too!
